Our Caregivers

Many of our clients are seniors or their loved ones who want to provide the care they need to continue living independently in their own homes. Seniors may have conditions such as Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia that make it unsafe for them to stay at home alone. They may be unable to perform simple tasks such as brushing their hair or cooking their own meals. Other seniors lack the mobility or dexterity they need to do the things they have always done.

Other clients may be recovering from a hospital stay or from an illness or injury. Our caregivers can help them with their household chores and aid them in taking their medications so they can focus on their recovery.

Depending on the needs of the client, we can provide home care in San Diego a few times each week or 24 hours a day, seven days a week to include any of the following:

Our caregivers will help their clients with bathing, getting dressed, caring for their skin, dental hygiene, shaving, brushing their hair, monitoring their diet, planning meals, and more. We make our clients’ health our top priority and provide the services that will ensure they achieve and maintain optimal health and well-being.

A clean home is imperative to healthy living. Our services include vacuuming floors, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen, washing dishes, dusting, taking out the trash, and other common household chores. Domestic house cleaning duties has limitations of 20% of the caregiver’s scheduled shift.

Nothing is more important to healing and feeling your best than a nutritious diet. Our caregivers will prepare delicious meals in the client’s kitchen that are nutrient rich. They can also ensure that the client gets plenty of liquids and nutritious snacks to keep them healthy.

Regardless of the client’s condition, there will still be groceries to be bought and bills to be paid. Our caregivers will take care of all the client’s errands to keep their obligations and letter writing up to date.

Caregivers know the risks that seemingly harmless situations can cause. They will make sure there are no objects in their pathway that could lead to trips and falls.

Caregivers can provide transportation for a doctor’s appointments, social events, or other important appointments.

We understand the difficulty you may have entrusting the care of your loved one to someone that you don’t know. The caregivers that represent All Heart Home Care in San Diego must undergo a rigorous screening process before being hired. In addition to meeting our requirements in skills and qualifications, each candidate must prove to have the strong work-ethic and compassionate personality that ensures the services they provide are a good fit with our standards. These characteristics are determined through a 3-stage interview process.

Only those candidates with outstanding references are asked to perform an employment integrity and work ethics assessment by our staff. If the applicant holds any professional certifications or licenses, these will be verified. Next, we will employ Live Scan fingerprints (DOJ and the FBI). We then verify that the candidate is registered with the California Department of Social Services. The final step is to perform a tuberculin skin test to ensure that the candidate is free of the tuberculosis virus.

At All Heart Home Care, we employ a real-time monitoring telephony system that allows us to track caregivers to see that they arrive on time. When they are running late, the system automatically informs managers so they can be replaced by another staff member. Any time the regular caregiver is unavailable, All Heart Home Care will notify the client immediately.
